If you thought The Boys couldn\u2019t get any more brutal, think again. Annie star Erin Moriarty is pretty sure she knows how fans will react to the season five finale, and it sounds like it\u2019s going to be intense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even the press weren\u2019t given screeners for episode eight – aka the last ever episode of The Boys – in order to prevent any spoilers from getting out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, the Prime Video series is inspired by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson\u2019s comics of the same name, but the story is completely different.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the comics, it\u2019s revealed that Black Noir is actually a clone of Homelander and he kills the real Homelander, before he himself is killed by the military.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, Butcher turns on his own team and goes on a rampage, killing anyone with Compound V in their system. Eventually, he\u2019s stopped and killed by Hughie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But, as said, we can bet that the ending to The Boys\u2019 TV adaptation will look very different. Starlight\u2019s very own Erin Moriarty has given us a clue on what to expect, and one word in particular is a concern: \u201cHeartbreaking\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> about the finale, she said, \u201cShocking? Yes, but by the time that episode eight airs, so many shocking moments will have happened that I think it will be more satisfying and heartbreaking.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHeartbreaking would be the word that I would use. At that point, the audience will have been heartbroken by many characters that are lost along the way. Our showrunner has said that will happen, so it\u2019s not a spoiler.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In short, there will be deaths and plenty of them, so get ready to cry your eyes out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
