But is it possible in real life?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well, entertainment company Path\u00e9 is set to put that to the test with Path\u00e9 REWIND &#8211; a new social experiment in which hypnotist Victor Kraemer will attempt to mind wipe film fans\u2019 memories of four select films.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, they\u2019ll watch said movie at the Path\u00e9 Buitenhof cinema in The Hague, Netherlands. If the hypnosis works, it\u2019ll be like they\u2019re experiencing it for the first time again.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"PATH\u00c9 REWIND | KUN JE MET HYPNOSE JE FAVORIETE FILM OPNIEUW VOOR HET EERST BELEVEN?\ud83d\ude35\u200d\ud83d\udcab\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8yrj3riyLkE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only 30 film lovers will get to take part, and they have the choice of a lineup of four classic movies: <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/filmshrine\/tag\/the-matrix\/\">The Matrix<\/a>, Se7en, La La Land and Interstellar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the participants are selected, they\u2019ll be invited for a personal online session with Kraemer. The screening will take place on November 9, and just before they enter, they\u2019ll be put under hypnosis once more.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obviously, we won\u2019t know if it works or not until the event takes place. But it\u2019s certainly an intriguing concept.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And it&#8217;s an interesting selection too, as each film offers something very different. For The Matrix, there&#8217;s the moment Neo discovers the true nature of his reality. It&#8217;s one of cinema&#8217;s most famous twists, but imagine watching it without already knowing what the Matrix actually is.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then there&#8217;s David Fincher&#8217;s Se7en, with its notoriously disturbing final revelation that has haunted audiences for more than 30 years. Of all four films, this might be the one where forgetting the ending would make the biggest difference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La La Land is a slightly different proposition. It&#8217;s not really a film built around a shocking twist, but its bittersweet ending hits differently once you know where Sebastian and Mia\u2019s relationship is heading.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/filmshrine\/2026\/07\/18\/christopher-nolan-has-revealed-the-one-movie-he-desperately-wants-to-make-after-the-odyssey\/\">Christopher Nolan&#8217;s<\/a> Interstellar. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> twist at the end could have participants sobbing all over again.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You never know, some might be harder to erase than others depending on how many times people have rewatched it.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As one netizen wrote in response to the news, \u201cMe watching Interstellar for the 531st time.\u201d Another joked, \u201cMe pretending to be hypnotized so I can watch Interstellar for the 178th time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A third added, \u201cLetting someone hypnotize you and then immediately watching The Matrix is an incredible way to develop trust issues.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Can\u2019t wait for the results now &#8211; we\u2019ll be checking back in on November 9.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>For all the latest
