This mega tough question baffled the smartest people in the UK, can you answer it?

If you’re familiar with the TV show The 1% Club, you’ll know it quizzes those who are meant to be the smartest in the UK, ending on the one per cent question. The show has asked a selection of members of the public various puzzle type questions, and the last one is the one only one per cent of the public asked got right. So basically, if the people on the show know the answer, they can call themselves some of the smartest in the country, i.e. a member of The 1% Club.

However, one question recently completely stumped the whole bunch. Out of the 100 in the studio audience, eight made it to the last, hardest, question. But, not a single one of them got it right. So, nobody took home the prize fund, nor could they claim they were among the top brains in the UK.

So, can you answer it?

Right, here’s the question even the smartest people in the UK couldn’t answer:

The quiz puzzle in question showed a number eight within an ice cube. The question, quite simply, asked: “What word is represented by this picture?” The studio was clueless, with not a single contestant getting the answer.

People on Twitter were clearly shocked nobody knew it. “Never seen that many get to the one percent question before, and all men and all wrong,” one person said. “Hard one, they couldn’t even tell what the thing behind the eight was meant to be.” Well, if you don’t even know what the picture is meant to be, it’s probably not the best start.
