Glastonbury confirms P J Harvey will play this year

She’ll be on the Other Stage on Sunday evening

Emily Eavis has confirmed that P J Harvey will be performing at this year’s festival.

She will join Coldplay who are headlining on Sunday (which didn’t go down so well) and ELO who are doing the teatime legends slot. PJ will be playing on the Other Stage, also on the Sunday.

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis said tweeted: “Very excited to say that PJ Harvey is coming back to Glastonbury for the first time since 2004, playing the Other Stage on Sunday.”

Eavis told 6 Music said that another headliner should be revealed in the “next couple of weeks”, and the rest of the line-up will be released in April.

She also explained the festival’s close relationship with headliners Coldplay. “There’s a definite sense of pride to see them go through everything they’ve been through to become this massive band,” she said. It’s brilliant to have them back.”
