Worst fizzy drink – Burger King super size Coke

Coke is pretty bad on the grand scale of sugary drinks. But Burger King manage to pack almost 80g of sugar into a super size coke. Instead of a hangover coke, just chow down on nine Pneguin Milk Chocolate wafer bars.

Worst energy drink – Rockstar Punched energy & guava

This pink monster makes coke look like water. The equivalent of 20 Maryland cookies, half a litre of Rockstar’s drink contains 78g of sugar and 335 calories.

Worst sports drink – Lucozade sport elite orange

Sports drinks replace sugar lost through sweat. You’d have to exercise a lot sweat out ten teaspoons of the white stuff, or two classic chocolate Magnum ice creams.

Worst iced fruit drink – Costa’s red berry cooler

To get the same amount of sugar as Costa’s red berry cooler you’d need to munch on 16 Nature Valley Oats & Honey Granola bars. If that doesn’t bring it home, that’s 108 per cent of your recommended daily allowance.

Worst iced coffee – Eat’s large mocha chiller

A large mocha chiller contains the same amount of sugar as eight twix caramel slices. This cold chocolatey delight packs in 90g of sugar – the same as two and a half cans of coke.
