There’s a new dating app, and it’s only for uni students
Finally, no more local weirdos
A new student-only dating app is taking unis by storm, helping hundreds find romance without needing to leave campus.
Hot Halls lets you search for people in your halls, on your degree, or in your year, and find that cute guy/girl from your lectures that you’ve always been too nervous to talk to.

Founder Simon Jacobs told The Tab: “It seems everyone has completed Tinder now. So if you’ve moved into your halls and there is someone you fancy, this is how you can reach out to them.
“Students are tired of all the local weirdos on Tinder. Plus, they’ve started to charge for swiping right now so a lot of people are running out of matches they can make for free.”
Cat, 19, from Nottingham said: “It’s really fun. You’ve got the addictive element of Tinder with the bonus of recognising everyone you see.
“The fact only students are on it means you know it will be pretty easy to strike up a conversation too.”
The app is available to all students at every university and includes options for every halls. You must have a valid university email address to create an account, which helps keep the locals at a safe distance.
