You can now get a glass of wine with your skinny flat white at Starbucks

One more thing to Instagram

Tax dodging barista behemoth Starbucks are set to sell glasses of wine, beer and even hot tapas style food from 4pm onwards.

Now the glossy types wearing faux fur who stroll into lectures clutching a steaming cappuccino or venti chai can walk in with a glass of Shiraz or a bottle of beer.

The company revealed it will sell wine by the glass, with plans to roll out the policy across the country.

Anyone looking to start a little early can choose from red or white wine, including shiraz and sauvignon blanc, rose, prosecco as well as bottles or Peroni and Magners cider.

The chain, which has almost 300 shops or cafes that sell their coffee on UK campuses, will launch an upmarket food menu of flatbreads with hummus, cheese platters, prawn and chorizo skewers, pulled pork chilli, braised beef and onions and truffle macaroni and cheese. A warm brownie with cream is the only dessert option.

Unfortunately the coffee conglomerate have no plans to serve spirits.

A spokesperson for Starbucks, said: “We are delighted to launch the first Evenings Programme in the UK. Providing a welcoming coffeehouse environment has always been our focus and now we can offer something new for the evening too.

“It’s a program we’re really excited about.”
