The most common age to lose your virginity is 18

And eight per cent of you are still virgins


One fifth of you popped your cherry when you were 18 – according to yesterday’s poll. 

We asked how old you were when you lost your virginity – after critics said children were taught having sex at 13 was normal.

Of the 4,000 respondents, 20 people claim they had sex when they were 11 or younger. Almost the same amount are still virgins.

Over 20 per cent had sex for the first time when they were 18-years-old, with 19 per cent at 16 and 17 per cent at 17.
