Local man beaten unconscious on University Avenue
The beating occurred early Friday morning
A downtown resident was beaten unconscious by three attackers Friday morning.
Police released information about a man who was beaten unconscious after being attacked by three men on the 600 block of University Avenue, near Hawthorne Court.
The attack occurred at 1:35am Friday morning and the 19-year-old suffered significant facial injuries.
Witnesses indicate the three attackers punched the 19-year-old after having an argument on the sidewalk. One witness said that the victim’s head hit the pavement after one blow took him to the ground.
While down, one attacker continued to kick and punch the fallen man. A passerby intervened, and the attackers fled as police arrived.
The resident has no immediate recollection of the brawl.
