FMDS presents its Into the Wild fashion show tonight

The much anticipated show is finally here

Prepare yourselves for a wild ride tonight, because the Fashion Merchandising and Design Society (FMDS) fashion show graces our community once again.

“The FMDS fashion show materializes all the creative talent in fashion at Virginia Tech and provides an opportunity for others to be inspired in a big way.” Said Kaley Roshitsh, FMDS creative director as well as a model and designer in this year’s show.

The show will consist of 13 talented, cross disciplined designers presenting their take on the “Into the Wild” theme on 26 gorgeous student models.

This is the tenth annual fashion show, and like the years before, it will not disappoint. The preparation has been intense this semester with weekly model workshops and in depth planning.

Coordinators Amanda Gordon and Lauren Steele have had their hands full this semester preparing for a great show that will potentially seat 500 people, about 75 more than last year.

“Each year we have, with careful planning, promotion, and publicity, been able to increase attendance by the hundreds; so I can only hope that will occur again at tonight’s event,” said Amanda Locke, last year’s coordinator and FMDS president.

Tickets for the event are available in advance online or at the Squires ticket office for $5. They will be $7 at the door.

The show will be in the Squires Student Center’s Commonwealth Ballroom and the doors open at 7:30pm with the show beginning at 8pm.

For more information about tonight’s show, visit the event’s Facebook page here. To see previous years’ shows and to learn more about FMDS, visit their website.

Be sure to be in attendance at one of the most talked about events this semester.
