Today is the last day to register to vote in Pennsylvania

Go go go

Today is the last day to register to vote in Pennsylvania and whether you’re from PA or not, being a student at Villanova allows you to register as a voter here.

You may still be undecided about who will get your vote in November.  Maybe you’re debating writing in your dog instead of choosing between Clinton and Trump. But you have almost a month to figure that out, and only one day to register to vote.

Hillary Clinton at a rally in Philadelphia, PA

PA is a highly contested state in this election cycle, and voting here could help to turn the tide in your party’s favor.

So if you hail from a mostly red or mostly blue state, your vote could matter more in PA than it would at home.  Voters in the suburbs of Philadelphia, including the Villanova area, hold a great deal of power in this race.

Donald Trump at a rally in Chester Township, PA

This weekend, SNL showcased the importance of the Philadelphia suburban female voter in a hilarious Weekend Update segment.

Keep in mind that this election isn’t all about who takes the Oval Office.  The U.S. Senatorial election is also considered a battleground race, with Senator Pat Toomey and Katie McGinty also competing for the votes of Pennsylvanians among several other down-ballot candidates.

Be sure to do your research on all of the candidates, but first: register to vote today.
