Stuck in Charlottesville for the summer?

More like smitten with Cville for the summer!

As the semester is closing, a lot of people start asking the question: what are your plans for the summer?

You might answer that you have an internship, or you are going back home – but staying in Charlottesville is the best answer, personally. It may not seem as cool as cool as “summering at The Vineyard” or whatever, but I will give you the best reasons staying at UVA is great.

Enjoy pint night, survivor hour, and trivia with NO CROWDS

Go swimming at Blue Hole and the Quarry

Helpful tip: do not just walk off the edge…

Hit up all the wineries, breweries, and cideries to your heart’s content

Enjoy responsibly.

Take advantage of Shenandoah National Park

And play with wildlife responsibly.

Go hiking

Old Rag, Humpback, Ivy Creek Recreation Area, and other hiking trails are just a quick drive.

And you can do a sunrise hike and go back to sleep for the day!

Enjoy a bite at the local restaurants with minimal lines

Explore grounds with your free time

You can search forĀ all of the awesome places to study and read around grounds

So yeah, maybe you are staying for class or a job, but Charlottesville has a lot of adventurous things to do that you cannot just fit it in during the school year!
