BREAKING: Stolen car crashes into apartment building after University Park police chase

Orchard Avenue between 29th and 30th Streets are currently blocked off

At noon, a stolen red GMC crashed into a First Choice Housing apartment building on the southeast corner of Orchard Avenue and 29th Street after a police chase. According to LAPD, three non-USC suspects have been taken into custody, and one person has been injured.

Orchard Avenue between 29th and 30th Streets are closed off to cars. The alley bisecting the block through 29th Street is closed off entirely while LAPD and LAFD attend to the area. Residents returning to Ellendale Place must enter through the north entrance on Adams Boulevard. As of 12:30 pm PDT, the Department of Public Safety has not yet notified USC students through their Trojan Alerts program.
