The Limited is dead but who cares because Limited Too is coming back

Can they just make clothes in adult sizes too, please?

Yesterday, The Limited suddenly closed all of its physical stores. While we mourn the loss of the moderately-priced mall staple, we can find solace in the fact that soon, girls will be able to beg their parents for the money to buy fluffy pillows and layered shirts from one of our former favorite retailers. Yes, that’s right: a company called Bluestar Alliance has acquired the rights to the Limited Too brand and will be opening 200 stores over the next four years. Go ahead, let your inner preteen girl squeal in delight.

The closing of The Limited is obviously devastating because it was a suburban mall favorite. You and your mom probably shopped there for blazers at least once and its basics were super reliable. The Limited’s brand was iconic, but not as iconic as its spin-off little sister, Limited Too.

A whole generation of little girls knew when they saw Limited Too’s metallic sign that they were about to look fly af. Over the decades, Limited Too sold us the trendiest clothes. You know, tankinis, spaghetti straps, bucket hats, capris and everything plaid.

They also sold literally the best accessories — remember when cowboy hats, charm necklaces, fluffy pens and sequined purses and scarves were so in?

And don’t even get us started on the store’s designated candy section. Seriously, why don’t more retailers sell clothing and candy at the same time? It’s genius.

The time of Limited Too was a simpler time. But while you’re considering ending it all over the loss of another retail fave, remember that seven-year-old you would want you to survive at least until the next Limited Too catalog comes out. Be sure to view while consuming a bag of Pop Rocks and circling your favorite items with a metallic gel pen, if possible.
