Every wonderful thing to acknowledge the week before finals at UD

We should at least celebrate before we cry

Before you hate your life for a solid week during finals, try to stay positive and think of all the wonderful things that are finally coming to an end! You’ll no longer have to deal with that class where you have no clue what’s going on, rude professors that don’t care if you fail, or that annoying girl that always asks you for the homework!

It’s the last Monday of the semester

Congratulations! You made it! You’re finally done with waking up on those dreadful Monday mornings. You shouldn’t be dreading this Monday, you should be excited because it’s the last one! You can forget about the Monday blues for a little, at least until next semester.

Goodbye classes longer than 50 minutes

Any class that meets for longer than 50 minutes is torturous to sit through. They feel like five hours of a professor spitting information at you. It’s even worse when the professor doesn’t give you a designated break. And nobody is actually paying attention after the first five minutes. Online shopping is a real issue when professors allow computers in class. Do they even know that I can buy all my holiday gifts for my important people by the time their class is (FINALLY) over?! Thankfully this doesn’t matter anymore because it’s over! I can save my sanity and bank account.

Textbook Return

YOU’RE DONE READING ALL YOUR BOOKS! In college, well at least for some classes, you actually have to read your textbook to do well. Most professors assign weekly readings or even multiple readings per week. AND they assign quizzes too. Why must they do this? Reading takes up so much time. You should feel proud that you read a 300 page textbook. It’s nice to know that you’ll never have to see this book again. I will gladly wait on that mile long textbook return line at the bookstore to get rid of this book that took away hours of my time. See ya never!!

The Walk to Class

Rushing from one class to another is finally finito. You don’t have to worry about being late to class because you’re waiting at a crosswalk that takes forever to allow pedestrians to cross! Now, you can actually stroll around campus and enjoy it’s pure beauty.

NO MORE BACKPACK

I love my backpack, but I hate it when it’s heavy and killing my back. Since I already returned my textbooks, guess what that means? My back is going to have a stress free, light week!

You can eat at normal times

Since you don’t have three classes back to back, you don’t have to eat lunch at 4 pm. With class schedules, it’s hard to find time to eat when you want to. I always say that college eating is either the extreme of starving or the extreme of so-full-you-need-to-roll-instead-of-walk. If you have class all day and there’s no time to eat, snacks you bring with you can only do so much, so you’re starving when you get out of class. Then you finally get to eat, but you eat way too much and feel so full you don’t know what to do with yourself. However, classes are over so you don’t have to deal with this daily struggle anymore!
