Lonzo Ball to enter NBA Draft after Sweet Sixteen loss

Lonzo will certainly be missed at UCLA

Lonzo Ball, perhaps the most recognizable college basketball player at the moment, announced Saturday that he would enter the NBA draft.  Ball is expected to be a top 3 pick for the draft, averaging 14.6 points, 7.6 assists, and 6 rebounds per game.

In addition to entering the draft, Ball is a candidate for this year’s Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy, awarded to the season’s best college basketball players.

“Ball’s positive influence on the offensive side brought the level of passion for our basketball that I’ve always wanted to see from our student body,” said fourth year MCDB major Hunter Hu. “I’m excited for Ball to go into the NBA, and I hope this level of passion doesn’t die down after his departure from UCLA.”

Bruins will surely miss seeing Ball play in Pauley Pavilion, though Bruin basketball fans will continue to support him.
