Forbes ’30 Under 30′ includes seven SU alums

Forbes Magazine recently released their sixth annual ’30 Under 30′ lists, a huge honor for individuals who are changing the game in their said field of work.

Out of the 600 recipients in 20 different fields, a handful of them–seven, to be exact–bleed orange. Here are the seven SU alums:

Ross Burack ’11

A Whitman graduate, Burack co-founded Choza Tacqueria (a Mexican ‘fast-casual’ eatery with four locations in NYC).  Before opening Choza, he worked in commercial real-estate licensing.

Laura Foti, ’13

Foti is currently the head of paid media and analytics for General Electric Digital and resides in Boston. According to her LinkedIn, she ‘is familiar with agile methodology and also has experience in Omnichannel strategy and digital marketing, focusing on how multinational corporations can use new technology and analytics to better engage consumers.’

Michael George, ’11

An artist manager for SB projects, George is credited with discovering DJ Martin Garrix, one of the hottest DJs in the country. George lives in NYC and was apart of Syracuse University’s Bandier Program.

Drew Taggart, ’11

Like George, Taggart was also an alum of the Bandier Program- and makes up half of the hit, grammy-nominated duo, the Chainsmokers.  PS-  he was also in Sigma Chi, and is super cute.

Jacquie Katz, ’09

Katz, a television literary agent, is big in the entertainment industry. She works alongside some of the best comedy writers and directors in the business. She was a dual major in Psychology and Public Relations at Syracuse, and now resides in LA.

Evin Robinson (’12 and ’14) and Jessica Santana (’11 and ’13)

These two alums are the founders of New York on Tech, a nonprofit organization that helps educate impoverished adolescents in the fields of technology and innovation. The program provides these teens with internship opportunities, mentoring, and after-school programs. Both Robinson and Santana live and work in Brooklyn.
