Female students woken by unknown man lifting bedsheets while they slept

Two separate incidents of prowling were reported on Campus Drive East early this morning

The Stanford Department of Public Safety has issued a community alert for two incidents of prowling which took place at a student residence this morning.

Both incidents took place at a student residence on the 1000 block of Campus Drive East in the early hours of June 3rd.

According to the alert the first incident, occurring at around 3am, involved a female student being awakened by an unknown male lifting the covers off of her bed. The victim screamed and the suspect ran out of the room. He was later spotted elsewhere in the building and the initial victim confronted him, causing the suspect to run out of the building.

The second incident, occurring at around 6.30am, similarly involved a female student being woken by a male lifting the covers off of her. The female chased the suspect out of the building and he was seen running into the parking lot.

Both incidents of a male unlawfully entering unlocked rooms are being investigated.
