Penn State beat Wisconsin and we immediately all couldn’t have been more excited to know we were West Coast bound… that is until we saw the actual price of tickets, flights and everything else it takes to make it to Pasadena. For the lucky ones that scored tickets/got an early Christmas gift from mom and dad, WE ARE…. incredibly jealous.
So when Dean Yockey was surprised by his wife with Rose Bowl tickets, his response is priceless.
Rocking his Penguins t-shirt, Yockey opens a box filled with a bowl of roses (do you see where we’re going with this?). Overcome with shock and joy he asks what it is and then breaks down in tears. “How did you get the money for this, honey, we don’t have the money for this,” he asks as he gets choked up. Seriously, what’s better than Christmas and football?
Sometimes you just have to sit back and smell the roses.
