Nittany Lion aims for first place in this year’s UCA mascot competition

He’s giving it his all

Each year the Universal Cheerleading Association holds a Mascot Video Competition, and this year Penn State’s Nittany Lion is hoping to take home first place.

The competition consists of mascots from the country’s top universities. Each one makes a two-minute video to impress a panel of judges.

The Nittany Lion’s position is “physically demanding” says Cutis White. The list of physical demands goes on and on, consisting of things like pushups only using one arm, tumbling, the never ending events as well as preforming all of this in a suit that is sure to get hot.

After finishing 12th last year the Nittany Lion is giving this his all.

The UCA and UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship will take place January 13-15, 2017.
