Eugene police continue search for missing UO student

He’s been missing since December

The investigation for missing Oregon student Jim Cross has resumed. The Eugene police department has re-issued a statement asking for people to look out for the missing 41-year-old just a month after he was reported missing by friends.

“We’re renewing the call for people to be aware of him and to look for him,” Eugene police detective Jed McGuire told KLCC, an Oregon ratio station.

A former bartender in Eugene, Cross attended Oregon as a full-time student.

According to KLCC, Cross has tattoos on both of his arms of a rainbow mushroom cloud and a woman carrying small dragons that says “Mother”.

Cross’ well-being has been listed a top priority by the police and Cross’s friends, as Cross is said to have had possible mental health issues, of which may have factored into his disappearance.

“We just want Jim to know how much we love him, how many friends really care about him and his well-being,” said Cross’ neighbor of ten years Jill Brazier.

“And we just hope that if he hears this message, that he’ll, y’know, surface…and let us know that he’s alright.”

If anyone has information or has seen Jim, please contact 541-682-5111.
