The man who was interrupted by his kids during an interview is a former Ohio State student and professor

He spent a decade at Ohio State

While the internet has spent the past weekend unpacking the video of the man who was interrupted by his kids during an interview on BBC, one detail seems to have fallen through the cracks: Robert Kelly, the man being interviewed, is a former Ohio State student and professor.

During the interview, Robert Kelly is attempting to answer a question about how scandals are handled by democracy, while his own scandal unfolds behind him.

According to his LinkedIn, Robert Kelly was at Ohio State for a decade from 1997 to 2007. Kelly was a student at Ohio State from 1997-2002 getting his M.A. in Political Science, with majors in International Relations and Political Theory.

He later went on to receive his Ph.D. in Political Science from The Ohio State University as well, writing his dissertation on the Antiglobalization Movement and the International Monetary Fund & World Bank.

After finally graduating, Kelly worked as a lecturer at The Ohio State University from 2005-2007, working in the Department of Political Science and the International Studies Program.
