Here’s how you can donate to Reagan Tokes’s family

When times get tough, we rally together

Since missing Ohio State student Reagan Tokes was confirmed dead, members of the Ohio State community are sending their thoughts and prayers to her family. With extreme solemness, many have established various means by which someone can contribute to the Tokes family.

These are some of the ways you can contribute.

Oldfield’s North Fourth Tavern

Oldfield’s Bar, located on 4th and Chittenden Ave., is known for hosting fundraisers, and like Too’s, they’ve decided to host on on Thursday, February 16th. The proceeds to the event will go toward the Reagan Tokes Scholarship Fund that the family has set up. If you can’t make it out, you can always contribute to the fundraiser via Venmo.

Candle-lit vigil at Bodega

Reagan’s former employer will be holding a candle-lit vigil from 7:30pm to 9:30pm on Sunday night. They will be donating all proceeds to the Reagan Tokes Remembrance fund.

On February 14, Too’s will be hosting a fundraiser from 8pm-close in which 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the family of Reagan Tokes. After finding a photo of Reagan standing outside of the dive bar holding a sign that read #SAVETOOS, owner Scott Ellsworth commented in an Instagram post, “Finding this picture of her was just so heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time and that’s when we decided we need to do something . . . She was a big supporter of our, so now it’s time for us to support her friends and family during their time of need.”

The Tab Ohio State reported the news of Reagan’s disappearance and has since covered the story extensively. Aiming to raise $1,000 by February 16, the date of Reagan’s funeral, The Tab Ohio State will donate all the money raised directly to the Reagan Tokes Remembrance Fund in order to contribute to the scholarship the family is hoping to create in Reagan’s honor.

Short North Tattoo

Reagan was last seen on Wednesday (02/08) evening leaving Bodega, the restaurant in the Short North where she worked. The tight-knit community of service workers were stunned by Tokes’s disappearance and horrifying death. Short North Tattoo located at 1042 N High St will also be having a fundraiser for Reagan’s family.

Reagan Tokes Remembrance

Reagan leaves behind her younger sister Makenzie Tokes and her parents Lisa and Toby Tokes. The family has created a GoFundMe with the goal of raising $50,000 to create a scholarship in her honor. They wish that the scholarship will give hard working high school students a chance to attend the college of their dreams just like Reagan did. They will also be creating a commemorative plaque that will be placed at the Anthony Wayne Tennis Courts for all of the energy and love she put into her teammates and the game.
