Everything we love about Moonies as told by pissy Yelp reviews

‘The crowd was trashy, and you have lots of drunk people…’

Are you an Ithaca College student that likes to go out and party on the weekends? Do you like consuming alcoholic beverages in a dark place pressed up against people you’ve never met before? Then you’ve probably been to Moonies. Ever since the closing of 2floor, Moonies has been the go to spot for IC students that are looking for a place to socialize on the weekends.

We all know what current students think about this place, but what about the ones from a few years ago? What about how townies feel about The Moonshadow Tavern? We took it into our own hands to figure out these burning questions for my peers. Here are all of the most interesting and confusing reviews we could find about Moonies on the trustworthy website, Yelp.

People wear whatever the fuck they want, and the games are lit

This one is a winner. Who loves body shaming more than people who live for giving bad Yelp reviews? Go back to Boston, Stephanie Q. Let us be trashy and grimy in peace.

Yeah it kinda smells, but it smells like home

Alright Sami F., let’s get this straight. The Moonshadow Tavern is the epitome of class! We thrive off of the smell of vomit and mistakes, hell IC students are the reason it smells like that. And what’s your definition of a “nice” cocktail? We’ll take our vodka sodas and leave, thank you very much.

People who think haikus are funny don’t like it

Looks like we’ve got a poet on our hands! Max sure is a creative one.

Fishbowls, and floor booze

I’m a little confused as to why we should always wear rain boots at Moonies. Two inches of alcohol seems like a lot, sir.

You kind of always have a confusingly terrible/amazing time

I’ll just let Adam’s review speak for itself. Apparently Moonies is a confusing place.

To be fair it’s super busy

There’s one thing Eric got right, and it’s how crowded Moonies gets on the weekends. If you hate having room to move around, The Moonshadow Tavern is the place for you!
