Ithaca College flies rainbow flag in solidarity with LGBTQ community

We’re still the same community

Today, Ithaca College flies the rainbow flag in solidarity with their LGBTQ+ students and community as a whole across the country.

There is hate in the world today and there will be hate in the world tomorrow. We must remember to stick with what we know is right, stand together and never stop fighting for equality.

hey IC thanks for flying this flag today #lovetrumpshate ?️‍?

Ithaca College was ranked the #5 Most Liberal college in the country, so there’s no surprise to the sadness that encompasses our campus today. Not even half of my 8am accounting class showed up this morning, no doubt tired and stressed from the results of last night’s election results.

A Donald Trump presidency means many things for Americans, but means so much more to minorities like the LGBTQ+ community.

Vice President elect Mike Pence believes in conversion therapy for gay men and women. Donald Trump said he would strongly consider appointing judges to the Supreme Court that would overrule the decision on same-sex marriage.

Members and supporters of the IC LGBTQ+ community have taken to Facebook to express their sorrows, concerns and need for resilience.
