Color Dash is FINALLY coming to Iowa City because we deserve cute paint-covered Insta pics too

Tbh this is the only way you could get me to run a 5K

Unless you’re a hardcore dedicated runner, you probably know that running sucks. You try your best to get into it, hitting the treadmill on the occasions you take a break from Netflix and actually make it to the gym, but if we’re being real here, you know you get tired ten minutes in and give up shortly thereafter.

Running is only ever enjoyable if you add some kind of fun component to it. So people invited the Warrior Dash, glow runs and color runs, where brightly colored powder is blasted at you while you run.

If you’re the kind of person that can only find the motivation to run if you sign up for a fun themed race, we have news for you!

On Sunday, March 26th, the Color Dash is coming to Iowa City. Enjoy a morning of physical activity while getting covered in bright colors, all to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. This is the first time Color Dash is coming to Iowa City, so the event is sure to be a big hit. And of course there will plenty of photo ops and if that in and of itself isn’t worth it, I don’t know what is.

This 5K run/walk will be held at Kicker’s Soccer Fields in Iowa City. Registration per person is $40 or considerably less if you register as a team with friends. 50% of all registration fees benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Dig those running shoes you haven’t touched in months out of the closet and register with friends. There’s nothing better than getting in a workout while raising money for charity!
