Runaway goat found after week-long jaunt

William’s back at the Research Park safe and sound after a week on the run

For all you concerned Iowa City citizens (and PETA),  the missing goat belonging to The University of Iowa’s Research Park has finally been found and captured.

Missing since the 29th of January, William the goat had been on the loose making his mark in Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty.

The accidental release of the goat had animal welfare group, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, in such an uproar that they felt the need to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and write to UI President Bruce Harreld.

Luckily this 125 pound, deer-like brute didn’t do too much damage in the process and now comfortably resides in his pen back at the University Research Park.
