Uprooted Walker Hall sign has many suspecting vandalism

The sign is now fixed, though the investigation goes on

Yesterday morning, the UF Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere posted about the uprooted sign at Walker Hall.

This hits close to home. Vandalism of Walker Hall signage at the University of Florida some time before this morning….

Though several people suspect a vandal caused the damage in a display of racism, UFPD is still investigating the incident.

UF has since released a statement explaining that UFPD has not identified a culprit and that the administration is concerned because of the recent rise in hate crimes.

The sign stands fixed now and will hopefully stay that way permanently.

More updates to follow.
