Please for the love of everything can we have a snow day tomorrow

Cornell never cancels for snow

The administration within Cornell University has to have some kind of pride complex for wanting to keep our institution open during a storm.

While an email has been sent out recognizing the potential weather impact on Cornell, other Universities have preemptively decided to close.

The safety and wellbeing of students trekking to classes from in and around campus is just one concern.

Sometime professors drive in from towns upwards of an hour away, and through terrible road conditions.

Cornell needs to swallow its pride (and let us off easy from our prelims tomorrow). The National Weather Service issued a 48 hour Winter Storm Warning with the line “only travel in an emergency” for a reason. There’s also going to be 10-18 inches of snow and around 20 degrees tomorrow.

Cornell, if you’re listening, it’s not too late to cancel.
