The men of Cornell Vet School are back with their latest calendar

What’s shirtless, full of abs, covered in fur, and sometimes meows?

The newly released Men of the Vet School Calendar 2017

This year’s calendar features first through fourth year veterinary students from Cornell, including several from the veterinary fraternity, Omega Tau Sigma.

This year’s edition has the widest array of animals yet. This includes kittens, puppies, calves from the Cornell dairy barn, camels, horses, hedgehogs, and more.

Calendar chairs Taylor Parry and Samantha Palmer even persuaded the only owner of kangaroos in Ithaca to allow a photo shoot with a momma and daddy kangaroo and their joey.

The calendar comes out every year. Proceeds support the fraternity and its fundraising efforts for causes including the Patient Assistance Fund. This charity in the Cornell University Hospital for Animals aids in receiving affordable pet care. The fund helps members of the community and their pets.

It provides financial resources to owners who otherwise could not afford medical treatments their animals need.

If you need any more convincing to check out the calendar, Co-Calendar Chair, Taylor Parry says: “It’s hard to dislike abs and animals, it’s a great cause, and it was a blast to make.”

For more pictures and information, you can look at The Men of Cornell’s Vet School Facebook page and Instagram account.

In addition to the pictures themselves, the adorable and beautiful animals (and men) are featured in this video from the 2017 photo shoot:

Cover boy, Zach Dvornicky-Raymond shared: “I’m really proud of everyone involved with this year’s calendar, especially Taylor and Sam, who worked tirelessly to make it as great as it is. I was really excited when I first saw it, and am glad that everyone else seems so as well.

“It was an absolute blast to be involved and I’m really glad that we’re continuing this philanthropic tradition. Not only is it fun for all of us involved (animals included!), but it’s also historically been a great fundraiser for the Patient Assistance Fund. I’m hoping this year we break records and reach an even wider audience than before.”

You can stop by the the Mann Library atrium during the listed hours to get your hands on a calendar for yourself, or as a great holiday present. Tabling will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 6th and 7th from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

Will Fugina, another cover boy from the Vet School informed us: “I had such an amazing time shooting for the photo shoot. My family and friends absolutely love the concept of the calendar especially since it goes to such a great cause. It was an honor to be a part of Cornell Vet’s most philanthropic event.”

If you are not on campus, orders may also be made from the calendar’s etsy page.
