BREAKING: Swastika found in Bertrand Library bathroom stall

‘This anonymous act of cowardice is absolutely despicable’

Bucknell students received an email from President John Bravman today reporting the presence of a swastika “carved into the wall of a stall in a men’s restroom in the Bertrand Library.”

In the email, Bravman said:

“This anonymous act of cowardice is absolutely despicable…I call on all members of our Bucknell community to stand up against anti-semitism and all other forms of discrimination.  We will not tolerate hate.”

Public Safety reported the swastika was found today in the lower level of the library, and both Public Safety and Facilities worked today to remove it.

Anyone with information regarding its presence should contact Bucknell Public Safety.
