This 1987 issue of Playboy ranked BU as one of the top party schools in the country
I guess the key to a good party is denim on denim
BU was ranked as the 15th best party school in the country in a 1987 issue of Playboy. A photo of the ranking shows California State Chico, as the #1 top party school, followed by the University of Miami in second place.
Times have changed at BU since the 80s. The era of leg warmers and too many perms was apparently also the time for the craziest ragers on campus.
T’s pub was probably filled with too many clashing colors and a denim infiltration every weekend. All we can do is wonder if Allston was a mirror image of Animal House and have nostalgia for events we were never there to witness in the first place.
Where do we go from here? Make BU the 80s again. Let’s dress up like it’s Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, put on some Chuck Taylor’s, and start to rage.
