The men’s soccer team made a lip dub and it’s amazing

Hot guys dancing and singing? Yes please

The men’s soccer team is known on and off the field, but this year they put a twist on their campus reputation – they made a lip dub. “Preseason can be pretty monotonous, so we decided to spice it up a bit,” said Jackson Weiss, the organizer of the video.

Lip dubs have been become popular with sports teams, school-wide events, and even the BU women’s soccer team. The guys thought the women’s team had a lot of fun making their lip dub, and decided to do one of their own.

According to teammate Bjorn Kammholz, the idea had been bouncing around for a while: “It was a lot of work brainstorming, picking scenes to do, and editing, but we knew if we put in the work, it would turn out really well.” The choice of the song was left to the producers, Kammholz, Weiss, and Danny Foen, as the video would have never been made if they had to wait for a team unanimous decision.

Making the video also integrated the newer members of the team and got some of them out of their “comfort zones,” according to team captain Matt Gilbert. The team’s motto is “family” and this video really helped to unify them. The “camaraderie off the field” makes them the family their motto speaks of.

Filming the video might even become a yearly thing to “introduce the freshmen and give a preview of the squad,” said Weiss. No one should ever oppose of that.

“I always love to watch fit men get down to pop songs,” said freshman Frances Hausmann, men’s soccer fan.

Did you know they can dance?

Clearly their “chemistry is unreal,” which made it “super easy to film the crazy antics going on,” said Weiss. Apparently some clips are normal antics for the men’s soccer team, so “filming the small segments was an awesome experience,” said team mate Sasha Boussina.

“I could tell that the men’s soccer team is very determined, and that their feeling to win just can’t stop,” said sophomore Jess Radlo, another fan.

The team hopes the BU community enjoys the video and comes out to their games. They even hope to get the lip dub up on the big screen during halftime.
