Everything that happened at the 90s themed dinner at West Campus

They played ‘A thousand miles’ by Vanessa Carlton

If you didn’t eat at West Campus last night, you missed out on something truly amazing.Spoon University collaborated with the chefs at West to transform the dining hall into a literal ‘Throwback Thursday’.

Spoon University headquarters presents every month with a different theme, and the theme for April is nostalgia. Spoon worked with our dining hall to pick out what their favorite childhood foods were, and then brought it to life. They served all of the trademark foods that us 90s kids grew up on, and even nailed it with a perfect 90s music playlist including Britney, the Spice Girls, and my personal favorite throwback, A Thousand Miles.

Each table had a little collage of 90’s TV shows, which really got people in the 90s mood-I honestly wanted to keep mine.

But the most exciting part of 90s night was definitely the food.

Kraft mac and cheese with hot dog slices, classic 90s staple. You get your dairy, your carbs, and your protein. Genius.

Veggie burger- not sure if this is a 90s food but wanted to point out how cool the header on the sign is. Really missing my tamagotchis right now.

PIZZA BAGELS. Not even gonna deny that I ate two of these, would’ve gladly eaten 10, Pizza bagels should be a thing forever.

The line for this desert was insane.

“Everything we do with them is very collaborative. We’re just grateful they want to host us in the dining hall,” said Spoon University Community Manager Dorothy Ballowe.

Based on how hard it was to find somewhere to sit, 90s night was definitely a success.
