‘It’s really all about the layers man’

Welcome to Aspen Colorado – current elevation: 14,000ft.

We hit the slopes regardless of the weather, or elevation.

I tracked down some local Aspenites to try and uncovered their secrets to staying warm and good looking on the slopes.

Caroline DeRosa, Georgetown University, Class of 2019, Government Major

Caroline DeRosa is from Aspen, Colorado and said, “I would hardly say I’m fashionable” but I would like to disagree. It’s all about this pose, WERK Caroline.

She is wearing a jacket from performance ski that I stole from her mom, and kjus pants that all keeps her very warm while staying bright and colorful.

Olivia Lowell, Colorado State University, Class of 2017, Buisness Major

Olvia Lowell is a Colorado native and was practically birthed on a board.

“I really am all about warmth especially on a day like today. I mainly just buy what is on sale and what I kinda like.”

“My favorite brands are Roxy and Burton. They are dependable snowboarding brands.” YAS, a true snowboarder babe, to the core!

Drew Seyler, School of Hard Knocks , Class of 2016, Philosophy major

Drew Seyler is from Miami and is unfamiliar with the cold so he has had to slowly adapt to the climate over the past seven years.

Drew Seyler rocks these orange iridescent goggles to reflect his home of the Sunshine State.

“It’s really all about the layers man. I don’t even care about lookin’ good I jus wanna hit the slopes and be warm af.” Preach Drew, I couldn’t have put it into better words myself.

Megan Doherty (left), College of Charleston, Class of 2019, Communications major and Jessica Tyler (right), Cornell University, Class of 2019, Undecided

Megan Doherty and Jessica Tyler are Aspen natives who share great intimacy with food. Despite the exceptional landscape they grew up in, they really only ski for lunch.

“I stay warm through two-hour breaks, filled with at least three courses and hot chocolate breaks after every run.” said Jessica.

“I stay warm by investing in warm clothes and stopping every other run for warm food and drinks.” said Megan.

These girls are true foodies, although they seem to shed their lbs while on the slopes. You can even find them @notsoskinnybetches,  ” just two not so skinny bitches eating food.”

Megan is wearing a Kjus jacket and tight “milf pants” and Jessica is wearing Bogner Fire and Ice jacket and pants.

Here is a cute lifty that is a girl on the grind, but still looking good
