Everyone gets sentimental over Parents’ Weekend

Living in Walsh is great…but laundry at home is better

Parents’ Weekend gives every student the opportunity to show off their success being away from home, but let’s be honest – the real reason everyone loves this much-anticipated weekend is for nice restaurants, trips to Target, and free groceries.

We asked current Eagles: “What do you miss most about your parents?”

Becky Siegert, Junior

“I miss coming home to my parents and having the constant love and support right when I walk through the door.”

Marc Schwendemann, Junior

“I miss the reassurance they’re so good at providing.”

Lexi Nikolopoulos, Sophomore

“I miss my parents’ homemade Greek cooking and family movie nights the most!”

Billy Hufnagle, Freshman

“I miss the free food.” Honesty is the best policy.

Casey McCarraher, Junior

“I miss being able to talk to them all the time. They don’t always pick up my phone calls!” Preach it Casey, preach it.

Maya Joyce, Sophomore

“I love going to all the games at BC –  not only because I love sports, but also because it is a reminder of my dad and all the great games we have been to together!”

James Potter, Junior

“I miss my mom doing my laundry.” Note: Mrs. Potter was not surprised by this answer.

Jill Lally, Junior

“I miss her homemade pumpkin waffles!”
