Man put on probation after attempting to sexually abuse ASU student

He will not have to register as a sex offender

Allen Colbert has been found guilty of attempting to sexually abuse an ASU student earlier this year.

He was sentenced to 10 years of supervised probation and will not have to register as a sex offender.

Colbert, 29, was arrested in September on suspicion of kidnapping and sexual abuse after he pulled an 18 year old student into his car while she was walking home from a party.

She screamed for help and eventually bystanders called 911. He was later identified by his license plate and caught at a gas station near the incident.

He pled guilty to one count of attempted sexual abuse last month.
