Lane Kiffin will likely take a major pay cut in new role

He is taking a head coaching job at Florida Atlantic

Lane Kiffin, Alabama’s offensive coordinator since 2014, has reportedly accepted a job as Florida Atlantic’s head coach. He  will replace Charlie Partridge who was fired after three consecutive seasons of 3-9.

Kiffin, who earned a whopping $1.4 million as offensive coordinator at Alabama, will take a pay cut at Florida Atlantic. FAU supposedly said they will not be spending more than $600,000 on their new coach.

After being fired from USC, Kiffin helped the Tide, with Blake Sims at the helm, go to the College Football Playoffs in 2014 and win a National Championship under Jake Coker’s lead as quarterback in 2015. He has made quarterback Jalen Hurts the powerhouse of the SEC this season.
