The next American Horror Story season is about the 2016 election

This is not a drill

Because it’s literally the scariest thing AHS creator Ryan Murphy can think of, he’s announced that next season of American Horror Story will be about the 2016 election.

The big reveal, which is normally the result of months-long buildup, was announced by Murphy on last night’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“[Season 7] is going to be about the election that we just went through so I think that will be interesting for a lot of people,” Murphy said to Cohen, though was vague when asked if there would be a Donald Trump inspired character.
