The Dutch are here to save women’s reproductive rights

Already cleaning up Trump’s mess

On Saturday, January 20, we watched as woman and men from all over the world marched in solidarity with women in America, and our rights to decide for ourselves.

Among the signs were ones that read “My body my choice,” “I stand with planned parenthood,” and “Get your tiny hands off my lady parts.”

Now, the Dutch government is leading the charge to counter Trump’s plan to halt foreign aid to any organizations which support abortion in any way.

Because the Trump administration announced to no longer fund these organizations, the Dutch are going to launch an international fund to finance access to birth control and abortion in developing countries.

While it’s a horrible feeling that they’ve decided to cut such funding, it’s a blessing someone is prepared to stand in their way.
