Annual Comic Con is in Leam next week

Guests include Christian Wildgoose and Marc Laming

Leamington’s third Comic Con commences next Saturday, March 25.

The event will feature a comic costume competition for both adults and children. Entrants will have the opportunity to walk down their very own comic themed catwalk.

Fans will also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with big names in the industry such as Christian Wildgoose and Marc Laming.

Wildgoose is famous for working on DC’s Batgirl, whilst Laming’s artwork has featured in a breadth of comics, including Marvel’s Star Wars: Force Awakens.

The creator of Leamington’s Comic Con, Dan Mallier said that “we have attracted some big comic book guests” and is pleased with the “awesome support” that the past two successful conventions has brought.

He added that “It’s important to us that we promote literacy and support local talent. We have Leamington artist Chris Oxenbury – known locally as the emoji man – attending this year and a fantastic young artist Tom Malin from Evesham.”

The event has been hugely successful over the past few years and has proven to be an extremely popular event.
