Hope Worsdale wins SU Presidency

Her priorities include investment in mental health and fighting for fair and affordable housing.


The results of 5620 votes have just been announced and Hope Worsdale has been elected as the President of the Warwick Student Union. She won 55% to Bevis’ 45% in the final round.

Her priorities as President include investment in mental health, fighting for fair and affordable housing, tackling sexual violence and increasing the availability of study spaces.

Hope is currently the Education Officer for the SU, and has been involved in gaining a lecture-free freshers week and stopping a rise in tuition fees.

She has she is proud to be part of a Student Union that is “unapologetically political”.

As president she will be acting as the ‘outward face of the SU,’  representing the student body in communications with senior members of the University and on University committees.

Hope will be taking the role after a successful campaign where she beat ‘Hok the builder,’ Tom Jepson and Alex Bevis.
