Warwick student Lucy Cooper to feature on ITV’s ‘Meet The Parents’

Catch her at 7pm tonight

Tonight at 7pm Lucy Cooper, a third year English Lit and Theatre student, will be a guest on ITV’s new show ‘Meet the Parents’. She will be interviewed by Holly Willoughby before she begins her quest to find love.

Lucy chats to several sets of parents, grilling them on the personality, habits and sins of their sons. After she must decide which man she’s going to go on a date with and meet the ones she’s turned down.

Lucy, who was nominated for 2015 Warwick 10 applied to the show after seeing an advert on Facebook and was interviewed and accepted by August. Filming took place all in one day in September where Lucy was confined to her dressing room (so she couldn’t spot any potential dates) and given rough questions to adapt and make her own.

Lucy chatted with Holly Willoughby on the show

Lucy said: “I enjoyed it so much. I felt like an absolute star having my hair and makeup done (even though I wasn’t loving how it ended up) and having people make a fuss over me”.

She’s nervous to see the final edit and hopes it does not come across too “cringey”.

Lucy is still talking to the mystery man she met on the show, although she said the distance between the two of them does make it tricky.

She said: “I visited him for a weekend and it was real cute. I wouldn’t say we’re seeing each other or anything though – I still see him liking bare girls pics on Insta”.
