Warwick second year nominated in this year’s Unsigned Music Awards
And what have you done so far this year?
Indie starlet and Warwick second year Navina Rajan has been nominated as one of the best unsigned singers in this year’s Unsigned Music Awards.
Navina will compete for the Best Unsigned Female award, having been placed among the top 10 best unsigned female solo acts.
The awards, hosted by Best of British Unsigned, will be decided by online votes over the next week.
Navina first began performing publicly when she was 17, but has always had a love for music. Her favourite performance was at the Zephyr Lounge in our local Leamington.
She told The Tab: “Playing at the Zephyr Lounge in Leamington was pretty cool, it was quite a funky setting and the crowd was also good that night.”
Having already won campus fame after finishing third in Warwick’s Got Talent, Navina is delighted to have been nominated for this award.
She said: “I think the awards give indie, unsigned artists a chance at getting some exposure, something which is hard if you don’t have the contacts in the industry.”
Navina has recently released her debut EP, and more information about her music can be found here.
Vote here for our campus legend now, before voting closes on October 18th.
