Many of us fell in love with the idea of drive-in cinema through watching Grease (Did you know, the drive-in scene was improvised?). Well, now we can all experience the nostalgic joy of drive-in cinema as, on the 10th February 2017, the experience will be coming to a screen near you – in Lewes.

Moonlight Drive-in Cinema is the provider of the largest Drive-in in the UK. Their previous venue has been at Paddock Wood in Kent, but they have decided to bring their display to Lewes. Moonlight Cinema have stated on Facebook that “tickets and dates will be released on the 10th February at 17:00”.

When you arrive at the venue, you simply show your ticket, park up, turn your lights off and enjoy the film. In order to hear audio, you simply tune your radio to the correct frequency and the audio for the movie will be played through your car speakers. You can also pick up some food at the on-site catering unit including; burgers, hot dogs and cans of drinks.

Payment for entry is per vehicle. This is typically £25. Therefore if you go in a car of 5, it costs just £5 each which would be cheaper than your local cinema.
