Sussex the 20th best university in the UK
We’re number one for Chemistry
Craig O'CallaghanSussex has been ranked as the 20th best university in the UK in the latest Guardian university rankings.
Our university beat the likes of Edinburgh and Nottingham, but fell one place compared to last year’s 19th place.
The top ten are Cambridge, Oxford, St Andrews, Surrey, Loughborough, Durham, Imperial, Lancaster, Warwick and Bath.
Sussex received a score of 73.6 out of 100, and was ranked number one in the UK for Chemistry.
We scored particularly well for “career after six months”, beating many of the universities above us including St Andrews, Durham and LSE.

American Studies – 2nd
Chemistry – 1st
