Firebrand Mhairi Black traded Westminster for sticky dancefloors on Saturday night.

The SNP MP spent her week being hugely praised for her Commons speech and her weekend cutting shapes in The Garage.

The 20-year-old Glasgow grad, whose maiden speech has been viewed over 10 million times, let her hair down and received a hero’s welcome from stunned clubbers.

Anisa Toland, 19, told the Tab: “She was really nice and down to earth and  was overwhelmed by the reception she was receiving

“So many people were congratulating her, and she was chatting away to everyone, posing for photo’s and was really friendly.”

The youngest MP for centuries graduated with a first in politics from Glasgow University in May.

Chris Kelman, the Garage’s marketing manager said: “Mhairi was just in with a few of her friends from what I heard.

“I think once folk heard she was there through the live Twitter feed we always do in the club, people were desperate to grab a selfie with her.”
