Student Union Pres Amy McDermott has accused Fubar of “perpetuating rape culture” with a new club night.

In a tweet posted on her Union twitter account McDermott also demanded Fubar “get rid” of the event.

The club night, named after controversial Robin Thicke song “Blurred Lines”, is scheduled to launch 2nd May.

Stirling Students’ Union famously took part in a boycott of Robin Thicke’s song “Blurred Lines”, which was described by one NUS spokesperson as “deeply offensive and dangerous.”

The Tab have reached out to the Union and Fubar for comment.
