West Quay hosts the Festival of Light

It’s the perfect backdrop for an Insta photoshoot

From the 10th to the 19th of February, anyone who headed down to Southampton city centre witnessed the ‘Festival of Light’. The illuminations happened every day between 5pm and 10pm.

West Quay’s digital light show involved light projections onto the city walls. The plaza outside the new watermark was also filled with other cool luminous exhibits.

From the 16th at 6pm, there was also light projections of historical images of Southampton.This event marked the opening of the Watermark, which opened in December last year. The restaurant and dining extension cost £85 million.

Although not quite the ‘festival’ it claimed to be, it did provide great photo opportunities. Think of all the artsy pics for Insta.
