Last minute Valentine’s Day inspiration

Never have a bad date again

Do you need some inspiration for Valentine’s Day? Perhaps you’re in that tricky situation where you’re seeing someone but you haven’t had that chat and given it a ‘label’? Maybe you’ve been dating a couple of months?

Or are you in a relationship where you love each other soooo much that you post sickly Facebook status’ about it everyday and clog up people’s Instagram feeds with pictures of you kissing? Well, whatever your situation, we’ve got you covered. Below are some date ideas ranging from fun activities to romantic gestures…

For the bubbly one

Surprise your date this Valentine’s weekend with a trip to The White Star Tavern on Oxford Street for Bubbles and Brunch. Spend £15 per person (plus food) and enjoy unlimited Prosecco for an hour. This promises to be the perfect way to spend quality time together on a date you’ll never forget.

For the sporty one

Show them your best moves on the slopes at the Alpine Snowsports Centre in Bassett. It’s the perfect date for this bitterly cold weather and they’ll love that you’ve thought of something interesting and fun to do! Set in an idyllic location amongst the trees it’s the perfect spot for a cheeky kiss at the top of the slopes. Skiing not your strength? No problem, they also have rubber donuts for you to slide down the slope on whilst holding hands.

Your date will love this look

For the romantic one

Nothing says romance like a picnic in the park so pack that hamper and treat your date. A grassy spot in a secluded area is the perfect setting for a date to remember. Pack some delicious food, a comfy blanket to sit on and maybe a bottle of bubbly to make it extra special. If it gets a little chilly, a cuddle is the perfect way to warm up.

For the musical one

Want to listen to some music but don’t fancy throwing some shapes at Switch? Take them to The Brook in the beloved Portswood on Saturday 13th February to listen to ‘the best Oasis tribute band going’. Or there’s the Valentine Michael Bublé Tribute Event at the Mayflower Theatre on the big day itself, 14th February. Whatever gets you going…

For the outdoorsy one

Who doesn’t love a great, traditional pub lunch? Get cosy by the log fires in the Cowherds and enjoy three courses for only £19.95 this weekend! When you’re finished, stroll over the road to the Common for a walk in the fresh air. Take a big bag of a bread to feed the ducks and you’re sure to win over your date!

For the funny one
